Having hunted the U.P. for more than 30 yrs. during rifle season seen a lot of different weather. Anything from - 20 to +65 temps. Blizzard to rain. Depends on the year. Where are you hunting? Best advice i can give is check the extended weather forecast for where you are hunting. and then expect worse weather.......Where are you hunting in the U.P.? I hunt in Iron County.

Opening Day through the weekend looks to be rather warm and Rainy... Sucks. Thanksgiving should be a great time to be up there though, with everything pushed forwards a week the rut will still be strong during Thanksgiving. Good luck.

I was at a friends camp in Menominee County. Had 2 doe's being chased at night while we sample some home brew. We saw 4 different bucks keep chasing in and out of 2 100 yard lanes for viewing. Here is the forecast for my area: http://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick.php?CityName=Menominee&state=MI&s ite=MQT&textField1=45.1211&textField2=-87.6235

Looks like the new forecast as around freezing temps everyday. Highs in the Upper 30's, lows in the Upper 20's... Not bad, but could be better. Good luck to you, let's see some bone on the ground.

Was bowhunting today, had a nice 8 pointer cruising with his nose to the ground, 6:15 am. He responded to scent wicks with tinks 69, but he was cruising so fast I couldnt get a safe shot. At least I know my heart can handle the excitement
