KY is an up and comer for big bucks and closer to you, try the Daniel Boone Nat Forest. If your set on IN give the Hoosier Nat Forest a try as it is the largest tract of Nat forest we have and probably offers the best chance at distancing yourself from the crowds. Get some maps and TRY to get away from the crowd and you could have a good time if your willing to do a lot of walking. Also, leave your rifle at home unless you arevery familiar with our new regulations.A good slug gun that you can shoot 100 yards with is all you will need. With that being said I have not hunted either, I'm merely speculating due to the size of each property. If you have a muzzleloader we have a late ML only season in Dec that can be good=less hunters by far.

I've been gathering info on Indiana for 2 years. Spent a lot of time researching the state. I recommend the same. I still haven't hunted it.
