Ill DNR reports that anyone that applied for a Non Resident Archery tag during the first application period was issued a tag but there was a problem with the mailing and they ALL should be mailed by Sept 7.

Where in ILL are you headed and when? We have a trip planned with Dreamwoods Adventures ( Click here: Bow hunt whitetail bucks in Illinois) for the week of Oct 29-Nov 2. Looks like it might be a good time if the early rut predictions are right. I will the be in PA for the last week of bow season so between theILL & PAI hope to take a nice one.

I am heading to Copper Creek Outfitters up in the North west part of Illinois. I was alittle concerned about the early rut predictions I am heading out Nov 10th- 16th I have hunted out there (not this place) the past 3 years.

I have hunted at The Hunt Club in Perry/Randolph counties great place very high standards 140 or better 3 1/2 yr olds and they are there I just couldnt seal the deal a few almost. Good food ect.

I want to get in a little better shape and head west for ELK
