RE: Good NE IL/SE WI Taxidermist?
ORIGINAL: midsouth_hunter BlueRanger1, If people are willing to pay $500-$600 for a mount then that is what they aregoingto charge. I also know of taxidermist inthe south and southeast that provide great mounts for $350-$450 tops and these are people that do this for a living and live fairly well. They also love what they are doing. pay 500+ for a deer mount.I'm just thankful that priceshave not got that HIGH in my Area. I can't see paying more than around $350 for a shoulder mount. If Taxidermist start charging more than that around here it will make me fill like there takeing advantage of us Hunters.IMO |

RE: Good NE IL/SE WI Taxidermist?
Being a txidermist myself. I dont feel that not taking a deposit has anything to do with confidence. It has to do with mounts that sit around for years and have never been picked up. Atleast you get the deposit to cover the cost of your supplies. Anyways I am in norhteastern Illinois and do what I consider fine work. I live in Morris. If you want anymore info just send me a pm.
Thanks, Derek |
