Well I saw one once too. In broad daylight and only 200 feet away. I also saw a mountain lion once too.I was on my scooter and it ran out of the woods about 30 feet ahead of me. Scared me half to death! AND my brother also saw a black one running about 50 mph across a field a few months ago. NOT A BLACK DOG. ANd Ive heard the screams a few times in my life. So believe it or not, they exist. As for the pictures, STILL WORKIN ON IT lol.

You're right bee... there isn't a POPULATION of cats in indiana. But there are few cats scattered and isolated. And how many times must I say this!
Contact the National Audubon Society and they will tell you that there are big cats inmany states across the US, just not a large number. DO IT.

Exactly! Cougars/Florida Panthers aren't something that you'll see in groups like turkeys or deer. They're very shy animals and they are usually located in the most remote areas that they can find. But they're there!

I am not saying that there is not the occasional cougar that moves thru Indiana along the major river systems as the Wabash, the East Fork and White Fork rivers. These animals take alot of territory to live and Indiana just does not have that kind of cover. What amazes me is the people who swear they see Cougars, like the guy who started this post. My gosh man he and his friends have seen more cougars in a year that someone who would spend a lifetime in their naitive habitat. I don't even believe there is a scattered or remote population as you suggest because Indiana does not have the cover these animals need to survive on a daily basis. I am sorry I just can't believe it, no offence.
