Doesn't bother me. I have a high power single shot pistol that the farthest deer i've shot has been 65 yards. Any of the new muzzeloaders will shoot to 150 easy. I love my New England arms Muzzeloader. I can't see why you would spend the money for an encore when you can get one of those for a 1/4 of the price and that includes a rifle barrel. The PCR won't effect much well maybe the amount of deer that are wounded from poor shots by hunters. Since most of those cartrages don't pack a punch like a slug or sabot.

I'll rock my Knight .50cal during gun season. It's dead nuts @ 175..but why bother when the farthest I've had to shoot was maybe 90 yards max? Dropped an 8pt last year within spitting range.
