On Tuesday evening, April 17, I picked 44 grays and small yellows up to 3" tall. Scott County.
Some of the grays were already burned up.
May be a lean year for morels.
Good luck!

Lanse, I went out this past weekend (Friday) and expected not to find any with the cold weather. I did end up finding 13 blacks and 2 greys on one batch. I did find one other loner throughout the rest of the woods. Hopefully this warmer weather will get things kicked off. Good luck!

Went last night 4/19with my wife and found 3 yellows about 1 inch tall and VERY dried out. Believe it or not, I think we could use a little more rain here in West Central IL to really help them pop out. IMO, this looks like it could be a good year, but there isn't going to be much time to get out and find them since the undergrowth got an early start.
