Wondering when is it a good time to go out and start looking for antler sheds, around end of february? Also, before anyone puts a joke in I know I have to wait for them to fall off their head. LOL

you could probably start going out at the end of January/early Feb. and finding some sheds here and there. My guess would be that you may have more luck towards mid/end feb though.

just wanted to let you know I have already found sheds, I have found 4 sheds all from this year, the reason I started looking already is cause I shot a deer the last day of bowseason jan 7 and I thought it was a doe but to my suprise it was a buck that had lost its horns already, nice deer weighed probably 160 pounds or better..hard to tell but at least a 2 year old for sure probably a 3 year old by the weight..Now that we have snow it will be a little harder to find sheds but can now find some trails, and check fencelines, do really well at crossings the deer that jump over sometimes loose a antler when they hit on the other side...

I'm in southeast MN and we usually wait until the last weekend in Feb to start looking. Although last year I did find one when I took the 4 wheeler for a short ride around the field, wasnt looking for sheds but it was Hard to miss. Big 4 point and the G2 split into 2 so would you call that 5 pt ? We spend alot of time for 2 weeks looking because the rabbits and squirrels get to them quick around here and then there is nothing left of them ! Good luck hunting....
