I must have done something to make God like me this year. Because Sunday morning went out climbed into my Remington Ladder stand watched the sun come up and the world briten. Thanked the Lord for his woods, sunrise, etc and for allowing me the health to be there and enjoying it. At about 0800 here comeing right up the middle of this strip of woods was 3 deer. A bigger doe and two littler ones. Up came the Remington 700 ML. Doe ran about 70 yds from where she was shot. Weighed in at the proccessors at 128 field dressed. Real nice doe for this area. Momma says that I am done for this year, we can not afford to get anymore processed. I keep telling her I still have my bow lic and will have one for Muzzleloading season when it come in. Who is gonna win this argument.

I live in Dearborn County. I've seen a lot of does and passed on some small bucks. We only get one buck this year. Maybe they are correct.
If we pass on the small bucks, they will grow up. I did take two does.
There is still one week of gun season, and one week of muzzleloader season.

1950kid better take a look at your season lengths in the Indiana regs mag. Muzzleloader comes in on about the 7th and goes out around the 23rd of Dec.
Personally I have only actually seen one antler carrying buck this year but there have been a couple that I suspected of being buttons. But if you want to see some bucks from Indiana go to huntchat and go to the whitetail threads and look for one from some dude called jabba. The guy that owns the land that I am hunting on says the he sees a big 8-10 pt late in the eve out back of his place. Personally I think that most of the bigger ones have gone nocturnal.
