RE: Missouri Hospitality
Nick,
I live in the southeastern part of MO, and I can't think of any other place I'd like to live! I guess these old hills down here just get in your blood! People are different here. Heck, we even let the kids out of school for a day or two every year during the gun season!

I've got four-five more years left to retire from the military. Been stuck at Ft Bragg for the last 13 years and have noticed that the southerners always seem to think they have the biggest chunk of the market on hospitality. Not so, say I. Not a bad place, lots of good folks, but I WANT TO COME HOME!!!!!!!! I guess I've made it this long, a few more years won't hurt. Been lookin' at property around Springfield, Ft Wood, and Salem and the prices are making me crazy.

I know I'm a little late on this, but I can't resist replying. I think you'll find most Missourians, particularly outside of the two big cities, to be very friendly. Thank you for mentioning your good time. As you can see from teh other replies, you'll find people of simlar charcter all around our great state. I'm from Central Missouri and I will vouch for those around here. By the way, I've enjoyed several trips to Wisconsin, and think it is a beautiful state, and I know you have a lot of good deer hunters (highest percentage of deer hunters in the country???). Y'all come now, ya hear?

P.S. You should consider taking a trip down to Springfield, MO to see the Bass Pro home store. It's really something else, and Mecca for the outdoorsman.

I sually tag out by the 2nd Day, but it felt good overcoming some adversity this year.
