Guys/Gals- Looks like a full moon the first weekend I plan to hunt (10/6-10/8). What are your thoughts about best times to be on stand? Morning, midday, eve, all day.I thought I read something about midday is suppose to be productive. Thoughts?

All day is my vote.

After last year, I am determined to sit all day if I can. i saw way too many deer moving on the the drive into town to get lunch.

All day if you have the option

Otherwise, mid morning looks like its going to be the best time according to moon charts

If you dont have all day, my second pick would be the second half of the day.

The thery of the Full Moon is that deer eat all night and go to bed, later, thus making the early morning a bedding time for the deer, it seems to push up the night time feeding, if deer usually come to the field at 5 then they may be there at 3:30 or 4. Make sense? But yes, if you can, sit all day, its the best way to keep scent to a minimum, see more deer and be out in the great woods of IL!!! Good Luck and Post pics!!!!!
