I am obviously not from IL and am lost. Why are the tags on sale so early. Is IL a lottery type state or a first come first served thing. In MO tags don't go onsale till june or july I think.

I don't really have a problem with the lottery. As long as your a resident and sign up on time you are very likely to get the tags you desire. Last year was the only time I had a problem with it, but it was my fault.

Oh boy, its again getting close to that time of year when they want me to shell out 200 bucks to enter the lottery to buy a non-resident permit to hunt on my own land.
