shed luck in western wisconsin

I'm looking forward to going out towards the end of February...can't wait! That's when we take care of all our stands and get them ready for hunting season as well...shooting lanes, moving stands, adding stands, etc.

As of last week the deer still had their horns on their head yet. I had my cameras out and got a picture of a 1 1/2 year old 5 or 6 pointand a mature 8 point with their horns on yet.
So I would say it is a little early yet. By mid Feb. they are usually off their head. By the end of Feb. it is almost a guarentee that they are off.

I went in richland Co. this weekend and didnt find any. We got trail cam pics of bucks. All had horns but one had dropped one antler. I also went to Iowa on public land while visiting my grandpa who lives in prarie du chein right on the mississippi. We walked for about 2 miles over hills and didnt find any sheds or many tracks. We usually go near the end of february.

ditto here, I've heard a lot of people that have told me that mid-late february is probably going to be the best chance to find some sheds...can't wait to get out and hopefully find one!!!
