central illinois shotgun hunt(pic)
hunted coles county this weekend with my father on private property of a friend of his. Friday morning we both saw some nice bucks, but he got skunked last year and decided to take the first deer he saw, which happened to be this little 4pt. I saw some really nice deer and decided to wait it out for a good one. It took me until saturday afternoon, but at 2:45 i had a big 9pt chasing a couple of does right towards me. I stood up in my stand, and blasted his lungs at 10 yards and watched him run. Despite being hit in the lungs, it was a little farther back than where i wanted to hit him, and he ran 500 yards! After getting him checked in we measured his inside spread to be 21 inches and he was a 9pt because he was missing a brow tine, thats too bad because his other brow tine was 6 inches long!

anyone have any idea what this guy might score??? not really familiar with the system but like i said he was 9 pts, 21 inch inside spread, and his brow tine was 6 inches and g2's and g3's were about 8 inches a piece. Im having him mounted so i will get him scored when i get it back but just was wondering what anyone thought.
Thanks again,
Jason

seems no matter where in IL you hunt you always have the chance to shoot a big one.
