INhunter-you got that right. My heart was pumping for sure especially with how close he was at about 10 yards! Luckily i was ready for him because he came from a thicket behind me and i could see him coming for a little ways, if he would have surprised me out of no where like they usually do i would have fallen out of my stand!

MOhunter-Thanks for the site. I am familiar with the system but not a really good judge just by looking at a deer. Just wondering if anyone could look at the pic and put a good estimate on it.

Yeah, I had a huge buck come running in on me last weekend and I was asleep. Imagine that! Anywho, I heard it coming in and I stood up real fast (like an idiot) and it scared the living crap out of the deer. It stopped dead in it's tracks about five yards away from my stand, and I unloaded my gun on it! lol But I didn't get him. Actually, I shot him, but we lost him, he didn't leave very good blood. It was such a dissapointment. I was so mad. This buck is one of the "big boys" up at our woods. I counted 14 or so. He had what looked like a bleach white rack. Man, he scared the living crap out of me. Last time I ever sleep!

I'd say he's in the high 130's or low 140's. I lean more towards 140.
