gosh i am so pumped. here goes another sleepless night-just what you need when you gotta get up at 4:15 right? timing couldnt be better. the rut is in full swing, the bucks are chasing hard now and the deer just dont stop moving. i bet kills are up bigtime from last year. good luck to all.

Anyone have any luck today? I was just able to get out this morning and I had nothing. I am happy though I bought some good gear with the wind chill being in thelow singles to below 0 I was mostly warm. Just my toes were a little cold.

i saw some deer but not as many as i was hoping.. 5 doe three bucks(not the size im looking for on the first day). my Fiancé saw three doe and some basket racks also but she wanted to wait on something bigger as well. hope otherts had better luck.. lets here some good stories!!!.

shot a button buck this morning at 740. my dad hunts 50 yards away and shot a big doe that was with the buck i shot. now its time to hold out for a big one.

i didnt see as many today as i hoped for.. i only saw 7 does, and 0 bucks all day(saturday).. my girl saw one buck and that was it.. any one else have any better luck in central illinois
