Yeah, it was a hot one this weekend, I always wear my jacket to the stand to avoid scratches all over my arms, but when I got there,I was soaked with sweat, I'm sure that attracted a TON of deer [:-]It's been a weird October already, but here in about 3 weeks we will have a full moon and the deer will be movin' with the cooler temps. I am glad to be back here, I love sharing the stories, I just have to be careful not to spend too much time here. ;)

I'm still in NE Indiana, still in Noble County, looking for another venue for bow season though... those yin-yin's are going to be the death of my season if we don't find somewhere else to set up. [:@]

Long time no chat Pat, how bout that Colt D?:D The weather is way too warm for me to go near the woods, i just cant stand sweating in a tree stand, if it's not 40 degrees or lower, im not havin it. To pass the time i been chasing some big King Salmon in the Harbor at Michigan City. Got one a couple weeks ago that went around 14 pounds. I got a pic in the fishing forum.

BTW Pat i tried sendin ya a PM at COLTPOWER a while back, i post there as "Marvelous88." Im tied for 4th on the pigskin pickem, not too bad so far.

Aw man.... nothing ever changes, you two are back to the football talk... and the Colts to boot [:-] [&:] How about those Dolphins? Anyone for the dolphins? ANYONE?

I have a half day off sometime this week, I am thinking about taking it Thursday since it will be the first cool day around here, deer should be moving a little better.

Yeah, i havent talked to Pat since last January. Over the offseason my computer went down, i lost my password to this site and tried to get it emailed to me but i never got it. So i lost all my posts and my ranking, and i had to go back in create a new account with a tweaked up username. Now im just a little ol spike.

How are the crops doing around other areas of the state. I have noticed quite a few farmers taking out the corn earlier this year around here. I hope that continues. Good luck to everyone this season.

Hey bigbuck00!! It has been a while. Colt's DEFENSE is puttin' the hurtin' on opposing teams. Bob Sanders is a STUD! The true test will be against NE November 7th..gonna be a GREAT game. [8D] I didn't get the PM at ColtPower..but still hang there and post there from time to time. I'm not a "Premium Member" anymore...about to "pop the question" to the g/f (of 4 years)..just moved into a house together..and plan on getting a boat this spring..so I've been cutting back on spending $$ on "wants"..as opposed to "needs." [>:]

It appears the beans have been heavily combined the past week or so..and some corn as well. Walking thru a bean field last Saturday/Sunday in 70 degree + temps was not fun...but we did see deer. I'm ready for the 50's and 60's later this week!

Pat... you're gonna pop the question, eh? My advice, having just gone through this... make sure you give yourself sufficient time to plan your wedding! We got married at the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Museum and it was beautiful, but it was stressful planning it all in 9 months, give yourselves a year if you are going to have a big wedding, or better yet, save the $5000 you would spend on that nice wedding and elope to Vegas or the Bahamas or something with it... just take a few close friends/family and call it good! I loved my wedding, it was elegant, comfortable, everything I ever dreamed of (under $5000 too ;)), but we would have been just as married if we would have eloped. [&:] Anyway, good luck on the proposal, does she know, or is it going to be a surprise?

Hunted Jefferson/Switzerland all weekend. My best luck was in the evenings. Had 12 Sat evening and 16 Sunday evening all in the alfalfa fields. Still very slow from a normal weekend there. Have seen some does so far Monday and Tuesday in my clover plots in Jackson Co. It s funny you mention the wedding stuff. Some ladies here at school and I were talking about that. They all agreed how much a waste of money it was. They wish now they could just have the money they spent.

Very true about all the money involved but it supposed to only happen one time and it is a very big day for her. I'm getting married June 9, 2005 and I give my fiance ALOT of credit with the planning and everything. I really didnt realize everything that goes along with planning the big day. But she is definitely worth it.
