I am from carroll county. Last time i herd the new seasons shouldn't hurt our herds as they are doe only seasons. I dont think there will as big a problem as everyone thinks with rifles eather especally in hilly southern iowa. they use rifle in the flat ground or western nebraska and kansas with little problem.I think that the rifle season is long overdue, the thanksgiving shotgun season i dont like but that is because it is goign to mess up bowhunting for me and alot of other people.

for the guys who dont like the november season think of it as someone giving the deer a little push to make them move. by the way being doe only season means most guys wont even go out with first season being the following weekend. also for those who dont know rifle season is only in the bottom 2 rows of counties.
