Default Deer attacking humans in Southern Illinois

Anyone else read or heard anything about it. It's been happening near Carbondale. There have been a few cases of over protective does attacking humans who get to close. I've got the article out of the local paper if anyone wants to read it I'll post it.

just a doe protecting her fawn........................it was probably students from Chicago who wanted to pet the "cute little doggie"

Actually, I think I saw on the news that it was a guy that walks Thompson woods quite a bit AND he's a hunter that wanted to see the fawns (while at the same time, he saw the doe standing off in the distance) and that's when the doe attacked. I know he's not the only person to be attacked, but for a person who's supposedly familiar with deer behavior, I think I would have left the fawns alone.

That's just what I heard/read though.....so it could be heresay.

But, it could have well been "Chi-town" students who wanted to connect with nature! LOL (I've delt with too many of them up at UofI)

GSPsnFORDs-
I think you're right. What I said was completely tongue-in-cheek. Apologies to all you city-dwellers out there
