Howdy everyone over the weekend we had our annual cancer benefit shoot, Again Raising over $400 for Breast Cancer.
We had 7 teams enter this year for the 10 hour day tourney that allows the teams to go anywhere in the state of illinois as long as your back by weigh-in. Most teams went to Rend Lake, Carlyle or Crab and alot of the creeks in-between. The tourney was a big 25 format meaning you could for example have 10 gar, 10 carp and 5 buffs. We only allowed weight of 10 of one species of fish and no big heads or silvers were allowed at the weigh-in but we did also hold a numbers side-pot that was $10 a team and this included every legal fish taken by a team. Also had a Big Fish contest that brought a fish that missed the record by only a few pounds.
Here are the results of the Big 25 format
First: BIG MUDDY BOYS (Jimmy Sneed, Kendra Mason and Matt Willis) with 105lbs of fish
Second: SWAMP BOSS (Dakota Irvin, Alex Pearson and Chris Phillips) with 88lbs
Third: MAX CAPACITY 2 BOWFISHING (Hayden Richardson, Gavin Richardson and Josh Wilson) with 79lbs
Forth: BIG MUDDY ASSASSINS (Alan Carlton, Neal Carlton and Justin Poole)
Fifth: MAX CAPACITY BOWFISHING (Ron Brake and Ronnie Brake)
Sixth: BACKWATER MAFIA (Eric Giles and Ashley Copher)
Seventh: WOLLIE'S TEAM ( Logan Wollerman and Josh Wilson)
The Winners of the Numbers Pot was MAX CAPACITY 2 BOWFISHING with 47 fish.
The Big Fish went to a 29 pound Grass Carp shot by Jimmy Sneed of the BIG MUDDY BOYS
we also picked up quite a few new members over the weekend.
Next year we are adding a bunch to this shoot so keep checking our website for updates on additions to the Third Annual Carpin for Cancer
