Default 2010 Illinois Bowfishers schedule

2010 schedule

January 29, 30, 31st Illinois Fish and Feather Expo at the Bloomington Interstate Center. We'll have a booth and will be running the kid's archery booth.

January 30 (Sat), Illinois Bowfishers Banquet. (pizza party!) Held at Select Archery, 474 Wylie St. Normal, IL at 7:30pm. (about 3/4 of a mile from the Interstate Center) We'll be setting shoot dates, handing out 2009 awards and sharing ideas for the club. Bring your pictures and stories. Bring your bows too, there's a range there and we'll have some archery games.

February 26, 27, 28th, Illinois Deer and Turkey Classic at the Bloomington Interstate Center. We'll have a booth and be running the kid's archery booth. This is a huge show, if you can help with the booth let us know.

March 6, 7th, Elmwood All Outdoors Show at Elmwood High School in Elmwood Illinois. We'll have a booth and be running the kid's archery booth. This is a new show with a lot of promise. Come on out!

April 17-18, Billy Davis Memorial Tournament at Rend Lake. Numbers shoot. BAA sanctioned. Launching out of Sailboat Harbor.

April 24, Henkel's Hook and Arrow Bowfishing Tournament. Coles Creek Ramp. Starts at 10 am. BAA Sanctioned. call (618) 594-4818 for more details.

May 1st, Carlyle Classic Tournament at Carlyle IL. Big 15 format. Coles Creek Ramp. 10am - 6pm. Trailering allowed. BAA Sanctioned.

May 1st, IL Youth Bowfishing Championship. Lake Carlyle. 8am - 4pm. Meet at Coles Creek Ramp. $10 per youth shooter.

June 12th, Two Rivers Family Fishing Fair in Grafton Illinois

July 17/18 Uncle Dave's Drill and Grill at CANCELED! Lake Shelbyville, Wolf Creek State Park Landing, and this year we'll have a mystery format that should be fair to all. For those day shooters, we'll start shooting on Saturday at 11:00 AM and then stop around 5 PM for our regular grill out/ fish fry and then later, those who wish to shoot at night can get after them with their lights ablaziing. JULY 17 - Fun Shoot at Clinton Lake. Meet at Mascoutin Ramp a little before 9pm. No entry fee. Just for fun.

July 24th, Women in the Outdoors Event. Clinton Lake, IL. (tentative) Women can choose from multiple outdoor activities, including learning how to bowfish. Volunteers with boats needed.

August 14th, Rough Fish Round Up. Lake Shelbyville, IL. Eagle Creek Ramp. $1000.00 guaranteed 1st place prize money. (second and third place payouts depend on number of teams entering)
7pm Sat. to 7am Sunday. $100 entry per boat. (three people per boat max) 100% payout. Big 20 format. Door Prizes. BAA Sanctioned. Fish Disposal provided.

Each tourney will be different. You just have to wait until that tourney comes up and the flyer is posted. All of the rules are normally posted on the flyers....

Can teams have more than 3 guys in the boat......as long as they only have 3 shooters?

Yes, you can have non-shooting guests on your boat. However, if you have more than 3 people on board, you can only take 3 bows with you.
