i think we should leave shooter of the year alone but change team of the year. i still belive individuals should be responsible for turning in points for shooter of the year as was the case last year.
i think for team of the year we will figure this after the tourneys
in order to keep track of the points the way we had the system set up last year somebody had to keep track of who done what. with out pushing more on our officers who already have enough to worry about i think this isnt a very good deal. if somebody wants to step forward and go to every tournament or see that it gets done at every tournament then i think the old system is ok with a few point changes.
if not this is how i suggest running it. it will favor the teams who palce high all year but in my opinion they should be the team of the year. the shooter of the year is more for the individaul who works hard and promoting and shooting lots.

let me hear your ideas and changes you would like to see

team of the year

each team gets placing points
30 pts 1st, 29 pts 2nd.......

1st gets 15 pts
2nd gets 10 pts
3rd gets 5 pts

big fish at the tourney gets 10 pts

you can only have 1 substitute shooter for any shoot. (must have 2 original team members)

take top 3 of 5 shoots for that team. (if you do poor at/cant make, a shoot i wont hurt ya if ya do good the rest of the year)


shooter of the year

10 pts for every shoot you attend

placing points for tourney
50 pts for 1st, 40 pts for 2nd.....

20 pts for big fish at tourney

20 pts for any citation fish

50 pts for any state record

40 pts for working a show

20 pts for every category won in IB10C

you are responsible for turning these points in to me at [email protected] within 30 days of receiving the points

How do we determine who the "original" team is for team of the year? Would each team need to declare their members before the start of the season?
