I'm on the bubble; I have to take my daughter back to Champaign on Sunday. I am trying to convince to her participate in the shoot on Saturday and then I'd take her back early Sunday morning.

Since I will be out of town for this one my partner Brian will be without a partner.

I was wondering the same thing? How soon of a noitice would we have to give to postpone it. Not looking forward to shooting in the rain. But the weather man has been wrong before.

Well they have changed the weather forcast again. Now they are calling for just Possible showers. So by Saturday I'm figuring it will be sunny, calm and warm.

Well I'm in,so if you littlegirly menthink you might melt with just a little rain, then maybe you should just stay home and play video games. The all magnificent Brass Carp waits for no one! If you can't handleless than ideal conditionsthen you don't deserve the ultimate trophy. Nuff said

Gentleman and Ladies (which ever class you want to put yourself in). If a little rain will deter you from bowfishing, then I guess your not true, dedicated archer anglers. Remember, the fish are already wet, so the rain doesn't bother them. Now, thunder and lightening is another matter!!!

That's after enduring three downpours to get his first fish. And yes the genny and lights were running the whole time. [:-]


I've even been dumb enough to shoot fish when it's below freezin'.


And when it was "too windy" to bowfish... (this picture doesn't do justice to just how rough that lake was)


So I'll be there to retrieve my trophy.

Saturday Night: Rain before 1am, then snow. Some thunder is also possible. Low around 33. Breezy, with a north northwest wind between 17 and 20 mph, with gusts as high as 33 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.

This could get ugly. BTW, did I mention I have this sick aunt that needs me to come over and help .....................................

longjhons are on,face mask ready,coffee pot all ready for the boat. will be heading down around 11:00am or 12;00pm see all you diehards at the ramp. bringing a extra grill just in case someone wants to cook.

Actually, it's going to be worse. Lastyear Rend was just cold with no fish.

I do agree with you on the caution. I have to say, we're not looking at just tough conditions, we're looking at dangerous conditions.

We're all adults so I'm not going to tell anybody what to do, but please be extremely careful if you go out. 30 mph winds combined with snow and freezing temperatures is not boat friendly weather.
