Brass carp fun shoot rollcall
#31
See the smile on this guy's face...

That's after enduring three downpours to get his first fish. And yes the genny and lights were running the whole time. [:-]
I've even been dumb enough to shoot fish when it's below freezin'.

And when it was "too windy" to bowfish... (this picture doesn't do justice to just how rough that lake was)

So I'll be there to retrieve my trophy.
Bring your parisols ladies.

Saturday Night: Rain before 1am, then snow. Some thunder is also possible. Low around 33. Breezy, with a north northwest wind between 17 and 20 mph, with gusts as high as 33 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.
This could get ugly. BTW, did I mention I have this sick aunt that needs me to come over and help .....................................

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 7 PM THIS EVENING TO 7 AM CDT SUNDAY.
RAIN WILL CHANGE OVER TO SNOW THIS EVENING AS A STORM SYSTEM PASSES BY TO THE SOUTHEAST. A PERIOD OF SLEET IS ALSO POSSIBLE AS THE PRECIPITATION CHANGES OVER TO SNOW. SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF 2 TO 5 INCHES ARE EXPECTED BY THE TIME THE SNOW ENDS SUNDAY MORNING. LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS ARE POSSIBLE WEST OF THE ILLINOIS RIVER VALLEY. VISIBILITIES MAY OCCASIONALLY FALL LESS THAN A MILE LATE TONIGHT.
A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW MEANS THAT PERIODS OF SNOW WILL CAUSE PRIMARILY TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES. BE PREPARED FOR SNOW COVERED ROADS AND LIMITED VISIBILITIES... AND USE CAUTION WHILE DRIVING. "
Or maybe the "Discretion is the better part of Valor, do this another day shoot".

I don't know...I see a replay of Rend last year coming on.
Good luck you guys. And be careful. This kind of weather is not the kind to be careless in.

I do agree with you on the caution. I have to say, we're not looking at just tough conditions, we're looking at dangerous conditions.
We're all adults so I'm not going to tell anybody what to do, but please be extremely careful if you go out. 30 mph winds combined with snow and freezing temperatures is not boat friendly weather.
