Matt and company did a great job putting on a fantastic tournament. The fishing in IL is still tough but we were able to find some. The carp were scarce for us. We only saw a couple during the tournament. We stopped by the Marina and a little girl was throwing crackers into the water and some nice sized carp were feeding on them. I kidded Christine that I was going to offer the girl $5 for the box of crackers.
Christine was able to carry me as my shooting was off. For the first three hours I didn't hit a fish. [:@]

The prize table was huge and varied as the sponsor board shows.

This is only some of what you missed if you weren't here.

I especially liked the "Dead Well" on the back of this boat. Too bad it didn't get filled up that night.

Rodger displayed his shooting prowess and won the smallest gar award. Nice job.

This should give you a better idea what a feat he pulled off.

This young man was the winner of the AMS retreiver reel. Sorry I don't know his name. Someone help me out here. Congrats to him.

This is the winner of the (first)Browning Barracuda. Again I can't remember names very well. Sorry!

Team Indy Boys

Team Blood Bath

Team Shelby Shooters

How'd these guys get in here? Team Stanford Fish Stickers.

The crowd gathers to watch the weigh-in/count and the awards ceremony.

Kinda out of order here is the Shelby boys sorting fish...

Indy Boys doing the same...

Here Rodger and Brian try to figure out which fish Matt shot..."was it this one?"

JK Matt. Christine could'a done that to me though.

I was planning on going to the shoot but last thursday I was laid off and one of my team members started a new job and had to work firday night. So that ended that idea. Looks like it was a good time. Hopefully next year I will make some more events and have new lights and a new front and rear deck on the boat for bowfishing. But I just started building a duck blind on it so that project will have to wait till I get a new job.

finally got rested up from the other night. Thanks to all of you that came to the tournament I had a good time and hope that all of you did as well. Maybe next time some one will be able to beat the INDY boys I think they might have tampered with Chevy sterring pole thats why it broke and we had to leave the lake and get it welded. I am glad the tourney wasn't out of town or it would have really sucked. I was glad to see some new faces at the tournament and even got to meet Tim Wells of relentless pursuit there. I think we will have another tournament next year maybe even 2. let us now if there were things you liked or things you thought should of been different. (times, location, friday verses saturday)
