Hennepin Canal thursday.
#1
Believe it or not, I had a job just south of Clinton, Iowa yesterday in a town called Albany. It was a small job, so I took my bow and made for the Hennepin Canal in Geneseo when I was done. It's the same exact area we shot when we had the Hunter against hunger shoot there a couple years ago. The one Grant Wyffles hosted. Anyway, I only got to shoot one half-mile stretch and my reel broke. The handle just came off. It's the same problem I've had with these reels since the beginning, but a problem I've caused, so I'm not gonna bash the reel. I still managed to shoot 7 fish with twice that many misses. [:@] There are TONS and TONS of carp in there!! You wouldn't believe how many fish I saw. I lost a few trying to pull them back through the weeds too.
Maybe a few of us could get together and spend a day hiking the Hennepin and shooting. We could stop for lunch or maybe meet somewhere around there and cook-out. Thhere's miles and miles of canal tyo hike and shoot. It wouldn't be boring that's for sure.
