If I did have the time, I'd have torn into the outboard repair right away.
That's not to say it would be fixed by now. I get along MUCH better with electricity and firearms that I do with anything that uses gas or oil.
I'm the guy that takes the cover off the motor and says "Yep, it's broke."
...right after "so THAT's what it looks like."
:D

Chris, bring it down. We'll have a group motor repair. (Kind of like a barn raising.sorta)

We can rebuild it. We have the technology... Better thanit was before. Better, stronger, faster. (okay so that's pushing it.And like I should talk, I'm not sure I'll have the prop replaced by then)

Maybe, sounds interesting.
With as well as stuff holds together on your boat, I can't think of anyone I'd rather have fixing my motor.

Hey can you borrow the prop from my 30 lb thrust backup Endura troller, or is it a different size?

I hear ya Chris. I just thought you'd have torn it apart in the garage by now. But Christine's got a good idea there; if you bring it down, it'll get fixed. Besides, with you being new to the whole boat-thing, it would be a good opportunity to learn on-the-spot-fixes. It's not like it's blownin' oil all over or something. Remember last year when Slim and the Indy Boys tore down and rebuilt one of their carbs on the water? And I think either Alex or Luke built a muffler out there. Or maybe they modified theirs... either way, it's a nasty necessity for bowfishermen, and boaters in general I think.

Have faith in your fellow club-members!

I once 'fixed' the governor on our generator with a wad of gum. See? Awesome mechanicals skills have I. No worries. [8D]
