Team Warning Shot

I like this picture of Chris as he looks like the captain about to go down with his ship,

Congrats on the win Slim. Or should I be congratulating Bill? Whoever the captain and shooters were, nice win. Hard-fought too.

Hey Rob, I heard you guys beat out 3 fan-boats to take second. Nice job!! Way to go, from the troller-ranks.

Bad weather and all, I wish I could have been there. Sounds like it was a nice turn-out.

Impossible. He tightened the drain plug.

It was a tough shoot, but a fun time nonetheless. Heck, if it was always easy it wouldn't be half as much fun. At least we got into a bunch of fish after the shoot this morning. Near as I can remember, the few of us that stuck around to do some bank shooting ended up taking shortnose and spotted gar, common carp, bighead carp, buffalo and a dogfish. Not too bad for a "what the heck" afterthought outting. No goldfish though.

I really enjoyed seeing some old friends and meeting a bunch of new people. Thanks again to everyone who worked so hard to make this shoot a reality.

yea man its a bad deal,,,, genny, fan ....

we stopped at the truck stop and fueled up before the shoot..... $90.00 of good ol water/fuel.... the genny was full before we left the house , so after it ran at out 12:45, we filled it up and it ran for another 45 min while we put 13 gar in the tub, then at around 1:30ish it QUIT..... we started it ....... QUIT..... messed around with it and finally took the carb screw out and drained and BUNCH of water out ...... started again ran for 2min.....QUIT......RAN .......Quit......RAN.........QUIT........then the FAN ....... Quit....... RAN.......Quit....... drained it too...... GOOD to GO ,,,,right 3mins more the genny quit again ,,,,, again,,,,, etc.... till 3:00 then we ran the spotlight for about 15 min, then realized we were beatin a DEAD horse....... back to the ramp at 4:00am with a whoppin 21................... LOL...... oh well ............ the NITES TOTAL: till 1:45 am seen probably 40 fish..............shot 21, had 5 pull offs..............i was busy as soon we pulled in the ramp.....Davy forgot to get a license last week , so we had to mess with that, before the shoot,,,,, didn't getta BS with anyone very much, heck i never even got a chance to eat....... very nice to see how this shoot has growed in 3 yrs................................ KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK

Here are more picures. http://www.siloutdoors.com/showthread.php?t=4947

We had several photographers there so there are still more pictures to come!

A hearty thank you to everybody who came to this event. A special thank you and hugs to Billy's family for continuing to come out and feed us and keep us company. It's almost impossible to keep a dry eye while looking at the pictures of Bill. We miss him greatly.

The tournament was a tough as they come. Slim and I agreed that the fishing would be tough, but we had no idea it was going to be that tough.Muddy wateris one thing....but the fish were all hiding out in the middle of the lake or something.I didn't think the cold snap was going to hurt us, but it did.

I had a great time tho'. It's wonderful just to see old friends again and I was very happy to see all the new folks there.

Thanks everybody!!
