We got us ANOTHER boat
#11
PROGRESS!!
Got it torn apart and cleaned up...

New transom and hardware..

Got the left-gunnel clamped up....

...glued and bolted.

Over 2" of new oak.

Nice curve. I think the oak pulled the aluminium out perfect.

What a pain to do by yourself! I didn't end up wearing as much glue and silicon as I thought I would, but it took a while getting it all lined up. Now I have to do the other side and tie them together with some pieces on the front. Maybe next week I'll get it finished, since it's gonna rain and I have to work some. I'll keep everyone updated, just because I have nothing better to do.

I'm glad to see someone else has the same project going that I do. I didn't take before pictures because I really don't want to remember how it looked before I started. We'll just say if you ever want a family picture all we have to do is get our two boats together cause I'm pretty sure I have it's twin. Luckily I know a guy that welds that soft shiney stuff for a living cause he put 15 welds on the ugly thing for me. Now it's painted and about half way through the decking process. I've having trouble deciding how much is too much since it's just going to get covered in slime and blood anyway. Good Luck!!!

I'll be there in spirit. I could have gotten the boat ready, if I had 5 more hours of daylight yesterday, but that's fine. Besides, we never solved our outboard-problem.
Both Mark and I will have our boats done for the next shoots scheduled.Personally, I'd rather shoot off Mark's boat, but if we do something for the club, or ourLeague-Night-thing, we'll have 2 more boats to bring. All the better for club's image.
Now Mark, Chris and I will have to find us some Illinois Bowfishers decals to decorate them with.
