Scratch one dog
#1
KBI-Prez came out this evening and we went snooping for some coyotes. On our third set managed to call in a dog. He came in from behind us. I was just over the crest of the hill and did not know what was going on. Bill was sitting facing North in a blow down. He heard the coyote walking in the snow. Bill was covered head to toe in snow camo. The coyote walked past him at 4 yds. We actually measured the tracks to where bill was sitting. He knew he could not move and let it walk past him and it went down the hill into the draw we were watching. It was out 80 yds before he could lip squeek and get it to stop. He put a .110 v-max .270 through the boiler room. Christine could you post the pict. thanks. This was our first time out this year.

Mark has a spot picked out on his families' farm that sounds really promising. Hopefully, we'll be out hunting them this year. We're gonna try it with bows from treestands. Should be interesting at least.
How many times do you guys usually setup in a night?

Depends on you time, and how much space you have. We set up three times the other night. I usually stay in one place 15-20 minutes tops. If he is not there in that amount of time he is not coming. We then move 1/4 mile or so and set up again. It is really great now with the snow, you can really see them coming. I'm going to try and get out this afternoon.

Thanks Steve i dont do autographs but do accept money .....
