Shows, seminars, fun shoots and bowfishing tournaments in 2008.
January 25-27th, IL Fish and Feather Expo. The Illinois Fish and Feather Expo will feature over 120 different exhibitors covering the entire spectrum of the outdoor recreation industry.
Interstate Center, Bloomington IL
February 22-24th, IL Deer and Turkey Classic. 300+ booths and over 500 deer heads are expected to be entered.
Illinois Bowfishers will be at booth 2319.
March 1st - Sept 6th, 2008 - The Illinois Bowfishers '08 Challenge. Our big fish challenge. Five categories, $5 to enter per category. 100% payout.
April 19-20th, Billy Davis Memorial Tournament. Rend Lake IL. This is a great 'numbers' bowfishing tournament. Last year's first place team shot 341 fish. 7pm - 7am. BAA Sanctioned. We will have a youth (16 and under) prize for this event.

May 3-4th, Kentucky Carporee on KY Lake, KY. This is a great shoot for beginners and the hard core. It's a big fish competition. (biggest common carp, biggest gar, biggest overall fish) There are multiple divisions (Seniors, Kids and Ladies, etc.).
May 17th, Clinton Lake fun shoot. This is a great carp lake either from boat or shore. We'll meet at 10am at the Weldon Access. We have the shelter rented and have a cookout there. Optional big fish pot. Some of us may go out again after dark.
May 31st, Fun shoot on the Kaskaskia River 7:00 am - noonish
We will launch out of Becks Landing (1 mile past the entrance to Baldwin Lake) This will allow bigger boats to go out on the river if they wish, small boats and canoes can stay in the slough, and thereare some opportunities to shoot from the bank. June 7th - Kids instructional bowfishing booth at the Two Rivers Family Fishing Fair at Pere Marquette State Park in Grafton, IL. http://www.greatriverroad.com/Cities/Grafton/fishFair.htm We'll go out on the river and have a fun shoot after the event.
June 14-15th, Illinois State Championship Shoot. Held again on beautiful Lake Shelbyville. Home of 55"+ gar, nice sized buffalo, too many carp and the occasional +40lb grass carp.
BAA Sanctioned. Starts at 11am on Saturday, ends at 7am on Sunday. Dinner provided at 5pm on Saturday. Big 25 format. Big fish pot. Additional prize for most carp taken. Fish disposal provided.

June 28th, Wonder Lake Carp Shoot. NE IL. Saturday June 28th from 6am Until 12:00pm.
Registration begins at 4:30am the day of the shoot and will run until 8:00am.
Fish Disposal is Provided.
We will run 4 Competition Brackets for this event!
Kids 15 & Under * Registration is Free --- Individual Bracket * Registration Fee is $20
2 Man Teams * Registration Fee is $40 per Team ---- 3 Man Teams * Registration Fee is $60 per Team
* Boats are Required for Non-Wonder Lake Residents as there is no Shore Access available *

Sept. 27th, Clinton Lake Poole Shoot. 9:00 A.M.- 5:00 P.M. Launch at West Side Access on Clinton Lake. Registration will start at 7:00 A.M. in overflow parking lotnear boat ramp at West Side Access. 1,2,or 3 man teams, $10.00 dollars per fisherman, optional$10 dollars perteambig fish pot,yourbiggest10 fish to be weighed, if winning team has big fish thenthenext biggest fish on another non-winningboat will win big fish pot, "just so one boat doesn't take all."
