welcome. i know how it feels to get tired of bowfishing by yourself. though for me that problem was solved when i found this site. this site is full of great people and you should have no problem finding people to tag along with. but i am kind of curious of what your boat looks like. and again welcome and have fun.

If you guys are really wanting to get out you do not have to wait until warm weather. On a good clear day you can still see and shoot fish. Just a couple of weeks ago they were up with their backs out of the water. Just wish I could have hit a few more. But it does look like my boat in going into storage tomorrow. Have been waiting on the ground to freeze to get my boat in my buddys barn with out damaging his lawn. Sad day, almost like the last day of deer season. But we have coyote's, crows to shoot now. And not long after that will be shed time, mushroom time and bowfishing time again.

Hi Toetag. I shoot at Sangchris as well, often wading and from the bank. We'll have to get together some time. I'm in Rochester.

Sangchris is a powerplant lake SE of Springfield. No permits or anything needed, but it has a "season, 1 May thru 31 Aug. Sure wish it was open year round, and don't know the why for the season. It's awarm lake and the best of the spawn is over by the time it opens. Tons of fish in the 2-6 lb range, some bigger.
