Default Illinois Deer season

So far the guys here at the place have done pretty well. KBI-Prez started it off by shooting a nice doe for the dinner table. He then followed that up with a nice 10 PT Buck dressed out at 215# for the wall. Snuffy's son Scott followed that with a very nice 9pt at 160#, it is wall bound also. Snuffy followed suit with another Dinner table doe. My long time buddy fromFlorida made the trip upand after missinga dandy 10pt and a very nice 8pt, he settled for a doe as well. That was archery season first part. Gun season came in with KBI-Prez blasting two more does opening morning. More good eating. Saturday afternoon found me laying the sights on a nice 12 pt that dressed out at 150#. He is headed for the wall but will only be a rack mount. The Snuffy contengent was not done yet, and Kirsten his grand daughter dropped a nice 8pt with Snuffy's muzzle loader. Of course it had to weigh 4# more than my buck. So we are now ready for the rest of archery season. Although I am trying to get out today to shoot some fish.
