Thumperized Reels
hey ya'll just wanted to give a little review on the reels for all ya SPINNER shooters .....
we have been shootin the reels for about a month and really like them... they shoot smooth as heck, and don't seem to birds- nest up like the factory style...also he beefs-up the pickup pins and they seem to be alot stronger too ..... if ya run the drag a little loose ,you'll have these reels for a loooooooooooooooooong time ...
Feel free to PM or email me if ya have any questions >>>

RE: Thumperized Reels
So Alex, Do you send him the reel or do you just buy one from him? I really like my prostaff 888 but the drag stinks. It will not crank down enough even on a 3# common. I sent one back to them, and they sent me a brand new one, and it is the same. There is no way you could land a nice big head or any thing heavy. I would love to have it beefed up.

How do I contact this guy? What is his name? Will he send me the beefed-up pickup pins to install myself? I find the cheap zebco pick up pins are the main drawback. How does he make them shoot smoother and eliminate the birds nesting?

RE: Thumperized Reels
" SHARKY2413 "--I work on Spincast reels, any spincast reel, Zebco's, Shakespere's, Spinits, Muzzy's. If it is a spincast I will modify it. What I do is to open the hole in the front cover up over twice as big as stock, I do some internal polishing, I install Stainless Steel pickup pins (on the ones I can) I will add washers to the drags on Zebco's to give them more drag preasure. Most of what I do is aimed at making them shoot way better and it does. I have several people shooting reels I have tricked out at the worlds. The name of my company is Thumper Custom Reels and I call what I do "THUMPERTIZED". Until I get it figured out here you can see my work on bowfishusa.com or pm me. I charge $20.00 to do your existing reel or I will sell you a new Zebco 808 or Synergy 4003for $51.50 tricked out to your door.I gurantee that my reels will shoot better than their stock counterpartsThanks folks.
figured this may help some of ya

RE: Thumperized Reels
I have a new 888 that I have already broke one of the pins on. Can I send it to you to be Thumperized? do the new pins have to mount in the same plastic mechanism or are those steel also. How long does it take to get the reel back?
