A quick look at the events:
Friday night's pre-game meal at the Pelican diner, down in KY, a great catfish dinner. Sorry Ryan andMs. Cheesehead for my photography skills. Since Dave R. couldn't make it, I ate his share of catfish as well.

Friday night warm up night, the BigHeadsjust keep getting bigger and more plentiful. This one weighed in at a touch over 42 lbs and I made Ryan quit shooting when we hit triple digits.

A boat load of fish, noticeRyan and Dreweven tried to smash as many into the live well as possible before finally just giving up and tossing them on the floor of a boat. Nice mix of spotted gar, buffs and common carp, but more spotted gar than the other species, we on the Triton of Terror alwayspursue the greatest challange and obviously those thin gar are much more difficult to hit than a big fat carp like Snuffy's.

I would like to thank my partners, Ryan and Drew, for putting up with me and putting us in the money. Some would say we only took3rd place but I like to think of it as 1st Place in the Trolling Motor Division. Take that Slim and Alex. Ha

And finally I would just like to say "thank you"to all those that made this event possible.I know Billy D. would have been extremely proud. And that's what it was all about.

I had a great time at the shoot. They just get better and better. And I always like getting together with everyone. Rob, Billy, Johnny B., Diane, eveybody. It's always a blast! I finally got to meet the Indy Boys for the first time. (the new boat kicks a$$ guys!).
Mark's boat had absolutely no problems at all. Not even a bad light-bulb. Well, he did have one connection break knocking out his 24-volt lead, so the troller would only work on 12-volt, but that wasn't a problem. Someone just kicked the plug and pushed it apart. Everything else worked great. And we broke it in well too. We all made some decent shots through the night, but you could tell it was our first shoot of the year. Next time....
Here's a picture of my first bowfin. I didn't take any good pictures of it because I was so tired by then, I didn't even think about it. But you can see my shoe at the bottom of the picture, so you can see about how big it was. And look at the green on the pectoral fins. Pretty cool.

Thanks again for all hard work Christine, Kendall and anyone else who helped out with the show. It was a huge success. And I'm sure the next one will be even better! Hope to see at least mosrt of you at the State-shoot in Shelbyville.

I know nothing of any golden quillback. [:-]
If you are speaking of the brass carp that I won by whooping several booties at Shelbyville a year or two back...
That trophy is still residing on my mantle...er, uh, it's sittin' around here somewhere.
