Hey, I just wanted to send out a big thank youto Uncle Dave Randolph and Joanne for all their fine efforts in putting together an excellent event. Good food, good friends, and good fishing. Tough combination tobeat. Team Danville was able to add 54 more to the rough fish register during the evening including and excellent 32 lb Grassie and a 15 lb 4 oz LongNose gar. This third annual Uncle Dave's Grill and Drill was easily the best ever and most well attended and I'm sure next year will be even better. Again, thanks Dave and Joanne!

I really enjoyed the shoot and getting to meet some of you. Ialso got some ideas for building my platform and possibly buying a generator for next year. I still need to get on a boat that runs a generator so I can see if I can deal with the noise and want to go that route.
I'm trying to get a couple of my friends together for a trip back to Shelbyville next weekend for my B-day.
Thanks!

Jake, I'm so sorrywe didn't realize you guys were trying to hail us. We had lost a fuse out of our converter and were about out of juice forthe troller.
We'll trade you a fishin' trip for a goose hunt.

Glad to hear it was a success,as ifI had any doubts.
Also good to see, just like at almost every event the club has, is that more new shooters are joining up and coming out to partake in the fun.
Shooting fish is always fun, but the opportunity to do it with friends, food, and laughs is not something to be passed up often. Family commitments kept me from taking the trek Southward this time, but I'll see ya at the next one.
Congrats Dave and Joanne!

As always, it is great to be back with the wacking and stacking bunch. Of course I love to shoot shelbyville lake. There are lots of specis and a chance at some nice fish. As Robo said we boated 42 fish that night, and on Saturday afternoon Snuffy and I boated another 12, one of which was a 30#14oz grassie. Which should make the new state record. Then modest Robo did not state that his 15#4oz long nose will also make the new state record. Not bad two record fish out of the same boat. That is what makes shelbyville special. I have never seen so many large buffalo either. We were getting into schools of them and they were jumping around like 'silver's'. In fact the 'big fish' was a 15 # buffalo. We had a few in the 10# range that Snuffy wacked.
We all have to thank, Uncle Dave and Joe Ann for all their work. And Chris's wife too. She stirred up some wicked baked beans. We had so much food that we shared it with some of the lucky campers by us. Snuffy wacked an nice gar, that Kendall and christine cleaned and dave fixed. I guess it was ok, You will have to ask others on that one. not a fish eater here. Fun was had by all, and there were no buggs's

Another great Drill and Grill! Thanks to everybody, 'specially Dave and Joanne!
It was great to meet the guys from Vandalia and Jake (Dukmn80).
Dinner!

Johnny B gets a new state record before dinner... but too early for the big fish pot.
30+lbs

Doctor Grider scores on a 55" longnose. Great fish!

The Danville Boyz get it done.

The Shelbyville Boyz get it done and take home the big fish pot money.

Congrats guys, great fish. (big buff was 15lbs 9oz)

We didn't stay out long, but we did get some fishies. They are now part of the 'compost project'.

Holy cow! What a shoot! 2 state-records set, and plenty of fish for everyone!!!Uncle Dave, your shoot is getting more and more popular. I'm glad it had such a good turn-out.
Congratulations to the record-setters, and to the raffle and big-fish-pot winners.

I really enjoyed meeting everyone, and after telling my brother and friends about it, we are going back this Friday night. I'm sure we'll be in for more shoots next year.
Christine, I'll have to make sure you let you know when we get geese here and you and Kendal will have to come shoot some. I'll call them and we'll video it too. Should be a good time.
