Don't worry Mark.
In a few years all your friends will be married, adn you won't have many weddings again until their kids start at it.

Hope to see you on the next one though.

WOW! Thank's for the compliment bro...as untrue as it may be!:D

I forgot to ask if anyone has a spare blue bucket (tub)that I can borrow for the shoot. I don't have one yet. Or any suggestions of what else we can use to put the fish in.

Cheezy, I'll bring up an extra tub for youz guyz. [8D]

Thanks again for the buckets. Finding all sorts of uses around the farmstead* for them.

*= There's corn and stuff growing here.... so I can call it a farmstead if I want to. ;)

I've got 3 tubs I'm bringing.

Take good care of Chezhead.
I'll do my best, but if I don't get more sleep than I did before the Clinton shoot, she'll be taking care of me by making sure I don't fall asleep and topple over the side. With that said, 6 hours of shooting should be a cake walk compared to the 24 hours we did out there.

By the way, what is the shooting like up there?
Does the shoreline have lots of submerged timber like some of the other lakes, or is it sand, gravel, and weeds?
Water clarity?

Bulz, do you remember the incredible clarity of the Fox River when we shot up near Elgin?

It's like that. It's a shallow (look at those maps) mud bottom lake that is filled with carp. The result is chocolate milk lake.

Not much submerged timber. (other than the boat docks) ;)

If the water is up, there will be some brush along the shoreline that the carp will get into.

The flats are very shallow though. Less than a foot. Be warned. :D Bring oars and a push pole.

What a hoot! It was a lot of fun to shoot Wonder Lake again.

Big thanks to Duane and the Wonder Lake sportmans club for inviting us to take part. And to Carpbusters for co-sponsoring the event. Sorry I didn't hear how many carpwere removed. Maybe someone else who attended heard a number. I think the big carp was ten pounds. Our fish looked like cookie cutters at 6-7 pounds. We saw a lot of tails but conecting with the body proved to be more difficult. :D

Congrats go out to CHZhead, Deb and Bulzeye for winning the 3 personbracket.

Dave Randolph and Geoff Kishpaugh eachdid the single shooter bracket and did well boating several fish. Way to go guys.

Lots of fun folks and a whole bunch of carp. If there was ever a perfect lake for a 'carpbuster' tournament, Wonder Lake is it.
