Wonder Lake shoot (NE IL)
 

The second Wonder Lake shoot will be on August 12th, 2006.

The location of the launch andevent has changed slightly, it is still taking place on the East side of the Lake, it will just be about a 1/2 mile south of the Center Beach that we are accustomed to using. I will send out the map w/ directions at the beginning of next week for you to post and hand out along with the event fliers. Registration will begin at 4:30 AM with the shooting to commence at 5:00AM and conclude at 12:00PM. Around 11:00 we will begin offeringHot Dogs, Roasted Sweet Corn,soda and water will be available throughout the event. Around 1:00PM we will start the Awards and conclude with the raffling of Door Prizes and the 50/50. Fish disposal will be provided by the Wonder Lake Sportsman's Club as well.

[/align]We will have 3 brackets for the event,One Man Team,Two Man Teams, and Three Man Teams.
Each Bracket's Prizes will have the following:[/align]
[/align]1st Place for Most Fish - BAA Certificate & Cash prize (% based off Registration Fees for that Bracket)[/align]2nd Place for Most Fish- BAA Certificate [/align]3rd Place for Most Fish- BAA Certificate [/align]Big Fish - BAA Certificate & Cash Prize (% based off Buy In for that Bracket)[/align][/align]Ronnie Cannon, BAA president did confirm this as a BAA sanctioned event. :D[/align][/align]

Diana, Wonder Lake is 56 miles from Racine (according to Google).

You need to be on a boat for this shoot so tell your brother to come up. ;)

Although I haven't been to a Wonder Lake shoot yet, I've heard nothing but good things about the people up there at the lake that run the event.
They want the carp out andwelcome bowfishers to help do the job.

They are great teammates in the conservation effort.
I hope I can make it this year so I can see first hand and meet these folks who have been so easy to work with.

Is this a BAA sanctioned event so that some teams could pick up points as well? Might be nice to see some of those guys again!

I don't think this event is sanctioned as yet. The Iowa club is having a shoot on the Mississippi that weekend thatis too close (according to BAA rules). We will check with Brady and let everyone know.

Im afraid that is way too far north for me. Especially with a 5am tip off. Would like to try but just do not see it happening. sorry sis
