RE: hey gang
Bill;
hope you have a good time and get lots a fish.
I am going to Metropolis Illinois Todayto compete in the Archery Shooters Associations PRO/AM Tournament for 4 days... and it just so happens to be located at Lake Mermit... and that lake is full of long nose and Carp...
I was talking to one of the Park rangers down there and he told me that they used to commecially carp fish that lake and took 1000's and 1000's of pounds of carp out of there everyyear and the carp were averaging from 40 to 60lbs so we are taking our bowfishing bows... hopefully my hubby will be able to shoot his 1st fish while we are there

I talked to Ole KBI-Prez, and can you believe that he did NOT take his bow. I just hope something really big swims right by him. Like a 60 buffalo or something. I took a buddy out today for the his first time ever. He never even got a shot. We went all the way around the lake and only seen 3 carp.I was talking to the manager and they said that the water is 83 degrees and 81 degrees 6 feet down. Either too hot for them or the low pressure got to them. Oh yea the three that we seen I miss all three of them. Hope my sister does not read this.
