Default Bowfisherman's-torture--VIDEO!!

These'll either make some of you jealous, or laugh at me cause I can't shoot them right now...

This is the creek that I usually bowfish. So far, I've never seen another bowfisherman down here yet. There're tons of quillback carpsuckers, and obviously, common-carp. This is the most commons I've seen here in the last 2 years. Thought I'd share it with people that would appreciate it.

Oh, and I was standing in the water when I took these pics; about 10-15 feet away.

Some potential doubles and triples there.

I've taken the liberty of downloading the photo, enhancing it a bit and doing some in-depth analisys. And I have now confirmed that, yes, the one in the middle is definately laughing at you.

Well, I tried to draw my bow today, and found that I may be out for the rest of this year. I only got the string back about 2" before it got really uncomfortable. So, I guess this is the only kind of shooting I'll be doing.

Anybody want to go bowfishing? I'll take the pictures!!

Nice!
I'm in.

They're even more active than they were the first time you took me there.
That video camera is working out pretty well.
Now we just need some action shots. Allow me.

I tried to draw my bow today
Dude! You are nuts. Let it heal good so you can use it normally later.

Bowman,

Have you tried using a crossbow (as if you need more equipment)? I met a guy at the Des Plaines Conservation Area and he had a nice setup. We had a blast.

Which hand did you break? Bow hand or string hand?
