Four more commons from Sangchris today. Went fishing with wife and son today and had them drop me on shore to wade with my bow while they fished like regular folks. I need to rig up this boat with some lights and a deck. [8D]

KBI, from last weekend... The CIRFCU got 29 commons and 7 gar. Team Belle Isle Asylum (John and Phil)took 23 commons.

Decided to head back up north to a spot I hadn't been at in a few years. Got into some pretty nice spawning action too. So here's today's take:

63 common carp
5 suckers
4 quillbacks

Heard from Johnny B yesterday he and Mark took 27 commons from turtle creek says the fish are thick but they were scouting instead of shooting.

I hit the same spot as yesterday. Only got out for a little over 2 hours though. Heavy spawning!!!

Total for this morning:

42 common carp
3 quillbacks
1 sucker

Side note: I had three doubles on carp too.

I was a few towns upstream of where we'll be going in two weeks. Regardless, I don't think it'd be possible to even dent the carp population around here. Sure is fun trying though. :)

Did some "guiding" for a buddy this morning. Only his second time out, and the fish were very scarce. He did manage to head-shoot a feeding carp though, which made the day worthwhile.

I got in a little shooting myself, so please add three common carp to the kill total.

Ok everyone Johnny B. and Mr. Extreme and I went to carlye and shot below the spillway. It was great bigheads were up good and gar were everywhere. We boated 23 bigheads, 7 Gar but we were trophy hunting bigheads mainly, and 1 Buff. All in all it was a great day we spent almost 8 hours on hte water......

i heard from Johnny B a while ago he went to clinton today with Mr Extreme the water was muddy and couldnt see many fish but said the puffs were everywhere. Said they boated 4 commons ...........

It was right before sunsetso the light sucked, andI only had a hour.

Felt good to get out again. It's been almost a week and a half! :D

Went to Clinton Lake last night, 6/18, for some scouting, a little shooting, and very little scoring. Add another 14 common carp. The only thing that made this trip notable is that my innate infallible sense of direction got me lost or at least turned around. I do really think I entered into some time-warp continuum or maybe that was Rod Serling standing on the shore because there is no way you can head NE following the northerly bank, cut a perpindicular line across the lake to that direction andfollow the shoreline to the right and still end up travelling NE, but I did it. For a while I thought I might end up sleeping on the boat again, (not the first time) but I finally decided to believe in my compass and GPS and darn if those things aren't the berries.
