Details:
Gene Miller was bowfishing on the backside of Lake Overcup when he took this spotted gar.
This one was taken while bowfishing, hence the unrestricted tackle, but I don't think Lake Overcup is in Illinois or is that one that I've missed but have to put that on my list of things to do.

...ah the sissy hook and line records. hee hee hee

BTW, Lake Overcup is in Arkansas, so you still only need a measly 8 lber to be tops in the Land of Lincoln
