Count the Carp
#1
I know many of us are ready to hit the water and kabob some carp.
We just need some warm weather, the boats rigged and a bit of time.
Once the barrels start getting filled, please try and keep a rough count of the rough fish taken. Particularly the common carp, bigheads, silvers and grass carp. (the invasives)
So post something like, Lake Evergreen 3/10/06, 26 common carp. (and any other info you'd like)
Domo arrigato!

How about on the official IllinoisBowfishers.com site or here at Hunting.net, you have one of those thermometer like guages that present a visual that you could update on a regular basis, so when we report the number of carp we shoot, it will move upward, kind of like promoting donations fora local library fund but not exactly,

I searched around for some sort of nifty tally thing like what Rob had mentioned, but couldn't find anything.
So... for now, just post your bowfishing numbers here.

Then we create one:
Starting April 1/2006 Each
= 10, 20, 50 fish, you decide but could look something like the example below.
Common Carp

BigHead/Silver Carp[:@][:@][:@][:@][:@]
Buffalo[&:][&:]
Gar[:'(][:'(][:'(][:'(]

Would these catagories work or do you just want non-native fish or do we include a category for "Quilback" just for you know who? Let me know, and I'll create one, Christine can stick it at the top and then after you post we edit it and keep it up to date. Easy enough

That looks like it will work.
We'll count all the fish. Even quillbacks or Shelbyville faux-buffalo as they sometimes known.
Can you guys go play with our website. I added a blog feature and a photo gallery (which is still giving me problems). I'll email you guys the password to put pictures in the gallery.
Anyhow, I know the 'more links' link isn't working.. but let me know if you find other problems. I still need to update the 'join' page, add how-to's, recipes, the links page and a couple of other things... ugh!
