Looking for guide for Idaho upland bird hunt
Coming from Michigan have 2 gsp's and a buddy who lives in McCall, looking to setup a guided 3-5 day hunt for 2-4 guys for upland birds
3 years ago we did the Hell's canyon float for Chukars so looking to stay on land and hunt a mixed bag if possible
Interested in a bird hunt for the fall of 2019.
The trip is for my son's 40th birthday.
Right now it would be 2 hunters 64 yrs old & 40 yrs old and our 2 dogs GSP's that will be 10 yrs old & 4 yrs old by then.
We may be able to talk some others into joining us so it might be 3-4 guys.
However if we don't come up with other guys we don't have a problem hunting with other hunters or other dogs.
We spend most of the time busting brush and walking 2 track logging roads chasing Ruffed Grouse and Woodcock in the popal timber stands in northern Michigan.
We have hunted upland birds all over the US, we have free lance hunted in Canada, PA, NY, MI for ruffed grouse and Woodcock and upland birds in AZ, ID, IL, IN, IA, KS, MI, MO, MT, NJ, ND, OH, & SD.
So this time we would like to forget maps, gps coordinates, knocking on doors, etc. and just follow a guide to chase birds.
We are not fanatical, we want to get our dogs into birds but we don't want to pound the ground from dawn to dusk, we want to enjoy the hunt and the country.
We run beeper, training and gps tracking collars on our dogs.
We would like to keep the budget around $2500 per hunter and figure on $500 extra per hunter for Tips?
Let me know what that would cover and what other lodging, meals, etc., we would need to cover.
We will be driving out from Michigan in a 2017 Ford F150 crewcab with a cap and 4 wheel drive with skid plates.
