I am a licensed outfitter in Oregon and through the outfitter guide program I was successful in drawing the only outfitter tag for the Pole Creek Muzzleloader bull hunt. This is 1 of 20 tags and only 1 of 2tags that will be issued to non-Oregon residents. The hunt unit is a sub unit of the Heppner Unit in Oregon. We have been hunting here for years and have harvested bulls in the 300-335 range. This will be your best chance at getting a mature bull and it will more likely than not be a rut hunt. This is going to be a 7 day all inclusive hunt including guide/food/lodging. I can pair this with a mule deer buck hunt as well for an additional fee. The bull hunt cost is $5500 plus license and tags. So, do your research and you muzzleloader hunters will realize to draw this tag in the lottery system will take close to 13years.
