We are serious about our hunting.
Here at Western Kentucky Outdoors you won’t find a so-called pro. We are the guys who are behind the scenes making the so-called pro's look like pros and helping hunters bag that trophy buck they are after!!!!
What you will find is we are good at what we do and do it the way it was meant to be.
By FAIR CHASE!!
We tell it like it is here at Western Kentucky Outdoors. Simply put we speak the truth. Our services will not put you in a 5 star lodge, provide 7 course meals or place you in a heated blind. What we will do is tailor your hunt to your liking, assist in getting you here, help you make accommodations and guide you in the field for the purpose you came to the state of Kentucky for to kill a
Trophy buck, an Eastern Wild Turkey, or Waterfowl .
BOWHUNTING BONANZA!
Bowhunting trophy bucks is our passion and fuels us each day.
On a typical year over 70% of our clients are bow hunters.
We take great satisfaction in this. Many of our properties are archery only from season to season, which is a good recipe for taking trophy animals year in and year out.
Not everyone is successful while here. Though it cannot be guaranteed with fair chase hunting shot opportunities are expected.
Here at Western Kentucky Outdoors we know what it takes to
take Pope and Young bucks. There is nothing that we know of
that leads to greater success than scouting. Often we will scout out a buck as much as a week before actually going in and trying to harvest him.
Our Hunts:
White Tail
With Western Kentucky Outdoors you will be hunting trophy bucks. Kentucky has become one of the top producers of trophy bucks in recent years. With a one buck limit many Kentucky bucks make it past 2 ½ years of age, allowing them to mature and grow the head gear of a trophy buck.
Turkey Hunting
There’s nothing more exciting than hunting these beautiful, Eastern Wild Turkeys in the rolling hills of Western Kentucky. The gobble of a boss tom sounding off from the rolling hills, ridge tops or river bottoms of Western Kentucky is hard to escape.
Waterfowl Hunting
Western Kentucky has some of the best duck hunting there is to offer in he state. With two of the biggest Waterfowl Management areas located in this part of the state, many species of waterfowl find themselves migrating through the Commonwealth and resting along the way.
Predator Hunts
Starting out before daylight and getting setup. We will use a combo of electronic caller and mouth calls for coyote year around, as well as, bocat and fox when in season.
If hunting is good, this hunt is fast paced and full of action.
Predator hunts run from daybreak until about Noon.
Kentucky Bowfishing
This trip is best between April and July when rough fish are found shallow and fall easily to stalking them. It's not uncommon to shoot 100 fish or more per outing.
2012 Hunt Information at Western Kentucky Outdoors
For those of you looking to hunt with us in 2012 here are a few things you should consider. Early season archery hunts normally book full by late January. The same holds true for all of our November Rifle hunts. Our late October and early November archery hunts usually book by the end of February or early March. Early Muzzleloader and archery hunts at various times during the season usually have availability until late Spring.
Our prices will not change for the 2012 season. However we will be changing up some of our hunt dates and in some cases reducing the number of hunters for some dates. Any reduction we make is to promote less pressure, better hunting and hunting results.
