Do you wish you could get away and make that great escape to the wide open outdoors for a spring turkey hunt for the granddaddy of all turkeys, the Merriams? In the Elkhorn valley, the Niobrara and the Missouri River meet up

with the Great Sand Hills. This is where those dreams can come true.

This outfitting and guiding operations is the culmination of a dream of a hunting, fishing and outdoors enthusiast that eventually lead to this successful hunting / outfitting agency.

With the outfitter being a lifetime resident of Nebraska, roaming the fields and streams of Nebraska for the last 50

years he has accumulated a wealth of knowledge and outdoor experiences. He would now like to extend an invitation

for you to come join him on a Nebraska adventure where the hunting is real with no game fences, across some of the most diverse terrain in the country, so wild you'll expect to see herds of Bison to come thundering over the hill. Come

lose yourself in a place that time forgot.

No more than 4 hunting guests allowed in Camp at a time. They offer both archery and shotgun hunts with a.limit of

two bird per hunter with all considerations going to hunters within your group first who are still working on their first

turkey. If you harvest your bird early, they have a fine trout stream close by and all the gear for you to enjoy yourself,

or you can tag along with them or go with your buddy to fill his permit.

Nebraska 2007 spring Shotgun season:

April 15-May 21. 2007 Archery season is, March 25-May 21. Youth permits are also available and can be used during

the entire archery season, or they can start using a shotgun one week early on April 8th. Resident permits are $21.00

Areas hunted are in North Central Nebraska.

Area 1:

Most of this area is in the Ainsworth/Meadville areas. This area of the state is rolling grass covered sandhills that give

way to steep, tree lined canyons of pines and hardwoods. There is some agricultural ground mixed in but mainly open country. This area holds an excellent hybird Merriam along with an excellent native Merriam turkey population, a guy

might even find a lost Eastern here once in awhile. In this area they also have access to 3 different private parcels of

land for a total of 5200 acres, the largest tract at 2100 acres.

Area 2:Western Panhandle Region of Nebraska

This area of ground totals 2600 arces of private ground. The area is steep remote tree lined canyons of pines mainly.

True native Merriam turkeys are found in this area. They have taken a couple Rios in this area in the past but are few

and far between, but let us assure you the Merriam population is alive and thriving. This area does require access by walking only during dry conditions due to fire hazard.

Area 3: Eastern Species only with a shot at a hybred Merriam possible.

1800 arces of private ground bordering the Missouri River. Rolling hills with hardwoods and scattered pine. This area

holds a good population of the Eastern species with some hybred Merriams thrown in.

If you are requesting the Merriam species, hunting location is not decided on until just prior to the hunt due to scouting

and weather conditions. Some areas on the ranches are not accessible if wet conditions exist due to road conditions.

Please specify if you are flying in so arrangements can be made.
