We are happy to work with all hunters at www.hiddenvalleyhuntingllc.com. Just give us a call and inform us of your needs and we will set you up with a great hunt. All hunters handicapped or not have different abilities and skill levels, and we will do our best tohelp in any way we can. Let us know your skill level, what game you wish to hunt, any special requirements you have, including mobility issues, and some time to work it out, and we will get youout and hunting.

Call me at the Eagleville Mo. #, Tom Emig. We are new, but off to a good start. I've actually been guiding folks since 1989, and my new partner was a hunter that hunted with me successfully for 13 years now. He is actually financing this new business to get it started. We're leasing more hunting property and taking more people hunting, and hope to build a lodge soon also. I intend to design it as accessable as possible for all hunters, and with 30 or so new booking will begin building A.S.A.P., and hopefully finish in a year.
I'm spending most all day mushroom hunting right now but you can reach my machine and retrieve my cell from there, if I'm not home.
My partner Tom Rowlett, has mentioneddesigning huntsfor special needs hunters, and I'm all for it too. Everyone should hunt, fish and get outdoors as much as possible.

Thanks Tom. I will try to give you a call later today and visit a bit.
For you other outfitters who are established, remember that lodging doesn't always have to be accessible. What I've found is many places have accessible motels close by for the sleeping arrangements. Another thing to think about is that disability doesn't always mean serious stuff like a wheelchair. Many of the hunters I work with can walk fine, they just can't walk very far. Another example is a friend of mine who had one leg amputated. He still moves faster and further than a lot of the able-bodied people I know. Just struggles with ladders. Doesn't slow him down for many activities.
Just something to think about when you are approached with something like this. Some outfitters run the other way when they hear the word disabled. Some are willing to do what they can to give both themselves and their clients a fun trip. The whole trick is to go into it with both eyes open and communicate a lot before the trip. Everybody simply cannot help everyone else but there are a lot of things that can easily be done to get somebody with a disability in the woods!

Don,
We book hunting and fishing trips for over 250 outfitters worldwide, and many of them have the facilities and hunting opportunities that are appropriate for disabled hunters, whether it be sitting on stand for whitetails or bear or even pursuing elk. Feel free to take a look at our website to see the many opportunities we have and also feel free to contact me about any specific species, locations, or type of hunting you are interested in and I will point you towards those who have those opportunities and enjoy the reward of helping a disable hunter get after their game. It's a great thing you are doing and I wish you luck and great hunting where ever you go.

The Buck & Boar Lodge caters to disabilities hunters. Their website is www.boar-hunter.com. Just had a successful hunt with a partially disabled rodeo cowboy.

drs1961 - Thanks! I will contact them next week.
snip - You probably don't remember me Randy, but we visited a couple years ago when I first got things started with my site. Your place is listed under outfitters / hunting. Kind of funny hearing from you this way as I have told so many people about your outfit! You're one of my biggest inspirations!
