I have found plenty on the web but that is just pics and words like to hear from anyone that has had a good experience with a MT or COoutfitter..
Any help be good reading the web site doesn't really give you a "real world" idea of the class of hunt the provide or experience..

I did a Archery Elk hunt this past Sept w/Winterhawk Outfitters. I was in same boat as you are now. I researched Outfitters for 1 1/2yrs before decided on Winterhawk. They've had hunting episodes on shows such as The Wild Outdoors w/Jay Gregory, The Outfitters Journal, and even Babe Winkleman. I have several of their shows recorded onto VHS. Plus if you contact Winterhawk they'll send you a DVD of some past hunts. I met the head guide at a local show, and found out NY Bowhunters had been involved w/ them for yrs. I've been a member, and never even knew that.
They're a rugged Western style hunt. You'll do alot of horseback riding, and spend all day in the woods pursueing Elk. You'll be up by 3:30am, and eat supper around 7-8pm daily. Its not a hunt for the weak of heart. But they go all out for you, and treat you like family. I had a wonderful time, and I definitly plan on going back within next couple yrs.

No I haven't hunted with them but they came up during my searches last year for an Outfitter. I finally ended up doing a self hunt and didn't bother using a guide service.
