Avoid this outfitter for hogs
Went to adventure plus outfitters in North Carolina this week. They lied and said we would hunt wild hogs. They weren’t even baiting some of the stands. If they did they baited it the night before. The reason is it doesn’t matter. They would release a tame pig from their pen and come grab us. I mean tame. You can pet them. Guide just lied and pretended like it was legit. Spoke to the owner and he was straight with me. What a sickening waste of time. Lesson learned. Do more research.

that sure sucks, I would report them to the state as well as posting here
and this is again, why I always tell everyone, that before ever booking a HUNT, make sure you do a LOT of leg work checking into any possible outfitter!
way too many out there are sub par and worse yet, many are straight up liars and crooks/outlaws!

lots of greedy folks in the world, that when money can be made will do all sorts of things
I personally knew of an outfitter in WY, that Catered to some very wealthy guys paying outrageous prices for trophy elk, and the outfitter used to BUY pen raised elk i , then take them out to his ranch, he would sedate them put them out over night and then take his hi paying customers out at fist light, and they would shoot them, THINKING they were wild elk, and they had the best guide/outfitter in the business, as yr after yr they all got there trophy on morning #1.
(this was in the early 90's)
they never knew they were hunting pen raised and released elk!
all they ever wanted was heads and horns, , never took a slice of meat with them home!
outfitter made a LOT of money doing this till word got out and he stopped before getting fined
MY friend, I meet after the fact, was the guy selling them the elk>?
so, I know this ain;t a BS story!
and he told me when he raised elk he sold many to outfitters over the yrs he did so.
he said, many came to far away places to buy them, so no one near them would find out!
as again, this was before the world wide web and info getting about so fast!
as I said, when there is $$ on the line, lots of folks do things to make it!
a shame for those that are paying for something and getting taken advantage of
but its a fact of life, money brings out the bad in some folks!

What the Hades is there to work out?? The guy is a criminal and if you try to minimize his violations, you are as guilty as he is. First you complain, then you decide to be complicit!! Shame on you!!!!

This topic has been moved to the Outfitter Review sub-forum where it properly belongs. The sub-forum was designed expressly for members to leave good and bad information about hunts and outfitters and hopefully help another hunter with their research and due diligence.
